Bible Memory · Open now · Free forever

Learn Scripture. Keep it in your heart.

Help your child remember a passage one phrase at a time, then return to it for review as confidence grows.

Read or listen together. Practice with a little less support each time. A free parent account keeps each child’s passages and progress separate.

Free forever for every child. Try the sample verse with no account; no credit card or purchase required.

A little at a time

From reading together to remembering.

Longer passages are broken into phrases. As your child remembers more, words gradually disappear. Review brings the passage back later so practice continues beyond the first successful attempt.

  1. Read. See the whole passage. Listen where audio is available, or read with a grown-up.
  2. Practice. Fill missing words using the passage’s word tiles, one phrase at a time.
  3. Remember. Rebuild the passage from word tiles, or say it with a grown-up’s confirmation.
  4. Review. Return to passages over time, with extra support for a phrase that needs another look.

Use word tiles to practice word order, then invite your child to say the passage to you without the words in view.

Inside Bible Memory

A calm place to learn together.

The sample begins with the whole verse. Children can hear it and touch each word, or a grown-up can read along and confirm they read it together.

The real sample also offers Word Jumble and Build It. You can explore without creating an account or saving a child’s progress.

Support that fits your child

For pre-readers and growing readers.

Learn together

Pre-readers can listen where narration is available and use spoken word tiles. A grown-up can read the passage and help with practice.

Grow in confidence

Readers practice with fewer visible words, then rebuild the verse or recite it to a grown-up. Typing is offered where appropriate.

Keep returning

Review helps familiar passages stay fresh. Missed days do not break a streak or take away a passage your child has kept.

Bible Memory is an ongoing Scripture memorization resource, not a complete Bible survey course or a replacement for family Bible study.

For parents

Choose the passages. See what needs review.

Follow the Guided Path, discover passages by topic, or assign Scripture yourself. Each child has their own learning and review progress.

  • Choose ESV, KJV or World English Bible for each child.
  • See passages being learned, strengthened and reviewed.
  • Help with reading or confirm spoken recall.
  • Print verse cards for passages your child keeps.

ESV is the default, with World English Bible as a fallback when needed. KJV has no HillLight narration, so a grown-up reads aloud. Narrated practice availability depends on the passage and translation.

Set up free family access

Free forever

A gift to families, without a purchase.

We believe helping families put Scripture in their children’s hearts should be something we give back, not something every family has to pay for.

No ELA subscription, Christian Collection purchase, credit card or paid trial is required. A normal free parent account saves progress for every child in your family.

Bible Memory is an optional Christian resource. Explore the faith curriculum overview.

Parent questions

Start with one verse.

Do we need an account?

The sample verse needs no account. To save progress and keep a separate learning path for each child, create a free parent account and add Bible Memory with the free checkout. Children do not need email addresses.

Does my child have to read independently?

No. Narration and spoken word tiles support pre-readers where audio is available. A grown-up can read along and help with practice, especially for passages without narration.

Which Bible translations can we use?

Parents can choose ESV, KJV or World English Bible for each child. ESV is the default with a World English Bible fallback when needed. KJV has no HillLight narration; audio support depends on the passage and translation.

Does my child need a microphone?

No. Word tiles, typing where offered, and grown-up confirmation provide ways to practice and check memory without a microphone.

What happens if we miss a few days?

Due review waits for your child’s return. There is no streak loss or missed-day penalty. A passage needing another look comes back for practice; kept passages are not taken away.

Do I need to buy ELA or the Christian Collection?

No. Bible Memory is free forever on its own, for every child. Academic courses and the planned Christian Collection are separate optional choices.
